Review -Sacra Terra: Angelic Night
Introduction
I’ve seen some talks among players of hidden object games about this game’s predecessor as of having less positives impressions because of glitches and other things that I don’t want talk about. But this game by Alawar is different of a kind in all means, including graphics, sound, and everything that creates a complete imagination of an amazing game combining plot of the game into joy from playing the game.
The game Sacra Terra: Angelic Night is daemons story of the Seven Deadly Sins escaping from imprisonment where they have deserved to be imprisoned and where they need to be taken back in fighting against at their lair in Sacra Terra to save imaginary threatened world and let the humanity exist on this planet.
Gameplay
Suddenly, you find yourself left at decaying insane asylum of Sacra Terra full of unseen creeping creatures and visible daemons whom you will not have chance to talk to. You are staying in locked ward and to get out of the room you play interesting scenery, where you will have to unlock the door by sleeping under it a poster and pushing back the key with syringe found stabbed into bloodstained teddy bear (poor bear, what a bastards these daemons). Going further through hospital remains by crashing window and opening the door, you will get into a quite big square with nearby buildings of cathedral and admin building where the rest of game should take place. Throughout the game you will see dejected Angel showing up time to time and providing a great value to your journey by pointing out to the next destination and giving explanation of back events.
The game offers handy options for controlling of the game settings. Screen resolution can be set either to full screen or smaller one so it can stay as a part computer desktop. You can play deaf by muting off the sound effects, music volume, but that will not give full pleasure of playing. Other amenities, an inventory pocket to collect and put found items, a journal for recording events and a map to show you the place to take actions upon.
This game with hidden object gives much experience of challenged playing. I was stuck for few times and needed to resort to hints showing me the items that are not so easy to find even for sophisticated players. There are more to say about these tiny items. How anyone can guess to cut pumpkin and get item inside of it or sink toy train into tin to make it red? Puzzles are different story, taking as example assembling of power generator that requires some engineering skills at least to know the difference between rotor and casing. But all puzzles can be skipped if considered to be difficult.
Hints are refilling very quickly. They relieve you from pain of not finding some last items in the mess of hidden objects. Cursor is also of help as it changes its shape when pointed over some item or showing the way out or into the difference places. Map is useful to overlook and navigate when commuting between buildings and other places.
Sound
There is nothing to be questioned about the sound in the game. Sounds have been added for creating creepy and fearsome feelings for the player. There are no voiceovers or chatting with unfriendly daemons. Absence of much sound and voices is a favor for a player who does not need detraction while playing. Conversations are of redundancy when everything can be read from the notebooks.
Graphics
Graphics are very bright and clear. hidden objects and Puzzles are lighted up well. Juicy sparkling circles for hints and spots create good graphic impression. Daemons and Angels are portrayed in the best that human can imagine.
Conclusion
For perspective player it is of middle difficulty game being challenging and captivating. As you start playing you won’t leave it unfinished. It has very good walkthrough. Game lasting about 3-4 hours or more you won’t notice time passes by.
