Gameplay

A game story evolves around a girl Leila Saraostre who came to study in Paris and falls into maelstrom of adventure, romance, and mysticism… At first, we invited to refer a local subway map and it’s really useful to us because we must move around the city the most ordinary way… yes yes exactly on the subway. Then we must find an apartment, arrange it, and finally, to overstep the aims of the visit to Paris, and specifically to study at Academy of Art in the Louvre. What’s so unusual? In my opinion, an unusual solution is that for every action Leila Saraostre presented elements of hidden object games genre, but many of them are not implemented in the form of some mini-games, they are more like a main gameplay.

As for the mini-games in A Vampire Romance: Paris Stories quite is a lot of them and they are very well inscribed in the main storyline. Personally, I never had to think about what I’m doing exactly right now and what for? I would like to select one mini-game that, in my opinion, will appeal to all those who have a dreams to become an artist. Objective of the game to draw a still life, but I will not tell all, you’ll see yourself!

Next I want to point out one thing that I did not like and specifically the fact that there is no way to complete the puzzle and skip the task that you can not solve. Sometimes it is necessary because some of the puzzles are complex and time for their solution is simply not enough. I would mention for the downside of gameplay a quite confusing menu and the interface in the game, it may not be called how intuitive.

But the biggest advantage of A Vampire Romance: Paris Stories is the story line. In the beginning I decided that the game is a little bit boring, since there are no crowds of vampires and zombies and other stuff, but then I realized that this is what developers wanted. They want to give to us completely immersed in the daily lives of ordinary students and then suddenly, when we are not going to expect, they show a completely different Paris, with its mysteries and mystical adventures. For a good gameplay 9 / 10 points.

Graphics

As for the graphics in A Vampire Romance: Paris Stories … It’s definitely difficult to me to evaluate the graphic design because it is performed at different levels of quality. In some areas I have a question, “How long ago released this game? 5 years ago? ” But sometimes it seems that everything just perfectly drawn. Faulty design elements of game I can call characters themselves, they made a very primitive and not realistic. I also I want to note as a drawback is the lack of dynamics in the design of all the game locations are terrible static! But, in general, the environment is drawn very well. 8/10 points.

Sound

Music in the game all the time is lyrical and a little bit sad it’s certainly may seem appropriate in the evening or at night time when the raining and a loved one far from you. But not during the day when behind a window the sun shines brightly and in the air spread fragrance of French croissants! This not very good because there is not enough variety in a musical themes in the game. Minus of musical design is the complete absence of voices in dialogues is simply awful. 6 / 10.

Conclusion

Very interesting and unusual game of hidden objects genre which combines the dynamics of modern life in Paris and the mystical story. The game has many interesting solutions but also a lot of flaws too. I recommend A Vampire Romance: Paris Stories to all fans of love stories and fans of the mystic and mysterious. Overall assessment of the game 8 / 10.
